Crime
Crime is everywhere. And most of us have had some form of crime happen to us from minor situations to major ones. I was held up at gunpoint along with my 2 young kids and my elderly father. We were a typical target. This happened outside of Nashville, Tennessee. It took 3 years, but they got the guy because my daughter who was 12 at the time was able to identify him out of a lineup. She was out in the van and saw the guy without his dark sunglasses on. We were lucky. The getaway driver was also caught but we never saw him. Out of 75 incidents, there were 103 victims in their run.
Being a victim of crime is not easy. How did this happen? Why me? Why didn’t I see this coming? Was I naïve? Was I targeted or was this random? Most of the time you will never find out.
Besides having to deal with the crime itself, many people never get answers or resolutions or closure. The bad guy is not caught. There are no answers to your questions. This is frustrating.
When it’s a serious crime such as a victim is murdered, the family reels. They have to deal with the police, family, friends, the public, maybe even the media. Everything is thrown at you all at once. Since this is new, you have to figure out how to act. How to sort out your feelings. Whom do you trust?
If you have been a victim of an unsolved crime, or have witnessed an unsolved crime, you can contact me on the Contact Us page and leave details. I can present it on the tip page in the hopes of getting talk out there. It’s a long shot, but you never know. Please tell your friends and family about my site so that they are reading and seeing the info and hoping something will encourage them to share what they know. If they feel comfortable, they can Like or Follow the page in order to get updates as I post them. The more this grows, the more possibilities.
By the way, Crimestoppers is a great way to share information anonymously, but I realize not everyone is comfortable calling them. I am not trying to replace Crimestoppers. I’m just trying to add additional opportunities to share info. When I was a 911 Operator back in the day and in the suburbs of Chicago, the Crimestoppers line did not have caller ID. For real. I believe this is still true today. I’m just offering to help spread the word.
Just put what you want me to share in the comments part of the Contact Us page. No one reads those but me. If you feel comfortable, leave me an email or a phone number in case I need further clarification on the info. If you leave a name, it does not have to be your real name. But if it might help the case, then you decide. The goal is to get these crimes solved while keeping you safe.
The following is a case that is still unsolved. Please read the story and should you have any information, please let the police or me know. We would all like to get this case solved.
